RECREATION
ALPINE LAKE SNO-PARK. Access to Alpine Lake area via Highway 4 when the highway has been closed for the winter. For cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiles. Other vehicles not allowed. A Sno-Park permit is required for parking Nov 1 to May 30. ($87 fine for vehicle parked without permit). Permits available in Bear Valley at Bear Valley Adventure Co (at Gas/Sport Shop) and Bear Valley Snowmobile and also at Ebbetts Pass Sporting Goods and Sierra Nevada Adventure Co in Arnold.
